  The team at A-Lect initially thought it was a smaller but similar fix, but after taking further time to diagnose the issue discovered it was a single part of the compressor that needed fixing. Cost less than $550 and the system is working perfectly now.

  Exceptional customer service, exceptional care and attention. Paul has a profound knowledge of the industry & a logical approach to problems. While travelling through town we suspected a 240V charger had died in the camper trailer. Without a booking & despite having his workshop already full Paul & Nicholas spent the best part of 90 minutes discussing the issues with me, then testing the charge current from the tow vehicle, the battery charge and load current & finally the 240V charger. Reassured that we still had 12V charging sources we pushed on planning to later replace the charger under Ctec's warranty. Initially Paul said 'no charge' but ultimately acquiesced to a (minimal) fee. Great bloke & great service. If only every tradesman would mimic their approach! Highly recommended.

  5 stars for the work they did replacing my air compressor, drier, viscous hub and re-gassing my air conditioner BUT zero stars for the scratch on my car that they denied doing. I take pride in my vehicle and polish every inch of the paint regularly so I would have noticed the scratch if it was there beforehand. The boss said they usually check the vehicle for damage with the customer before it goes in so I am very disappointed that this procedure was not followed in this instance. I’m also disappointed at the worker who said the car was on a hoist and that they only did work from under the vehicle when I know for a fact they would have had to do work under the hood to do the re-gas. To top it off the boss trivialised the issue by saying ‘cars do get scratched’ as if aiming to make me feel I should just accept that damage is going to happen no matter what so I should just get over it. I would have probably been satisfied with the worker simply admitting his mistake and giving me an apology but the fact that they don’t even have the decency to own up to it is appalling!

  I went to A-Lect Auto for a second opinion on an airconditioning issue in our Toyota Tarago as I had been quoted over $3000 and told the whole system needed to be replaced.
